Wednesday 1 March 2017

No we didn't get washed away, although it was a noisy night and the seas didn't start to subside until late evening so we stayed away from the beach.

In fact we stayed in the van most of the day because despite it's best efforts the sun never succeeded in breaking through the sea fret and although it was warm and muggy all day a cold breeze did get up – strange mixture of weather. We did, however, watch with interest as Desert Detours Netherlands arrived - upwards of 25 vans who proceeded to take over the lower half of the site! Good job there's plenty of electricity hookup points (eh Colin? Sorry, in-joke. Read our 2015 blog about Safi for the story).

We're ready to start heading north now but it looks like we probably won't be meeting up with our friends as they're currently stopping at Tafraout after June had a fall and isn't quite ready to travel.
